How does Channel-96-Video mitigate dangerous and harmful content?
Our commitment to responsibility starts with Channel 96 Community Guidelines.
These policies are designed to ensure Channel 96 community stays protected.
They set out what’s allowed and not allowed on Channel 96, and apply to all types of content on our platform,-
- including videos, comments, links, and thumbnails. Our policies cover areas such as hate speech, harassment,-
- child safety, and violent extremism amongst others.

- and our COVID-19 medical misinformation policy, which has evolved throughout the course of the pandemic.

Channel 96 removes content that violates our policies as quickly as possible,-
- using a combination of persons and vigilant complaints from Everyone and the generalized public to help Channel 96 mitigate dangerous and harmful content on a massive scale.
In addition, Channel 96 rely on the Channel 96 Community to report dangerous and harmful content by sending and email labeled dangerous and harmful content to report the channel Content Owner to Channel 96.
To help us detect potentially dangerous and harmful content by reporting it directly to Channel 96 with an email labeled dangerous and harmful content to report the channel Content Owner to Channel 96.
Channel 96 also go's to great lengths to make sure content that violates our policies isn’t widely viewed, or even viewed at all, before it’s removed.

If a Channel 96 Content Owners on- and/or off-platform behavior harms our users, community, employees or community,-
- Channel 96 may respond based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the egregious and epithets and or harm caused by their actions moreover whether a pattern of dangerous or harmful content exists.
Our response will range from suspending a Content Owners privileges to account termination.
The safety of our Content Owners, viewers, and partners is our highest priority.

If you're posting content.
Don’t post content on Channel 96 if it fits any of the descriptions noted below.
Video Spam:
Content that is excessively posted, repetitive, or untargeted and does one or more of the following:
Promises viewers they'll see something but instead directs them off site.
Gets clicks, views, or traffic off Channel 96 by promising viewers that they’ll make money fast.
Sends audiences to sites that spread harmful software, try to gather personal info, or other sites that have a negative impact.
Misleading Metadata or Thumbnails:
Using the title, thumbnails, description to trick users into believing the content is something it is not.
Scams:
Content offering cash gifts, “get rich quick” schemes, or pyramid schemes (sending money without a tangible product in a pyramid structure).
Incentivization Spam:
Content that sells engagement metrics such as views, likes, comments, or any other metric on Channel 96.
This type of spam can also includes content where the only purpose is to boost subscribers, views, or other metrics.
For example, offering to subscribe to another Content Owner channel solely in exchange for them subscribing to your channel, also known as Swap-4 Swap content.
Comments Spam:
Comments where the sole purpose is to gather personal info from viewers, misleadingly drive viewers off Channel 96,-
- or perform any of the prohibited behaviors noted above.
Repetitive comments:
Leaving large amounts of identical, untargeted or repetitive comments.
Live Stream Abuse:
Live streams intended to stream content that belongs to somebody else and are not corrected after repeated warnings of possible abuse.
Content channel owners should actively monitor their live streams and correct any potential issues in a timely manner.
This policy applies to videos, video descriptions, comments, live streams, and any other Channel 96 product or feature.

This can include clickable URLs, verbally directing users to other sites in video, as well as other forms.

You are allowed to encourage viewers to subscribe, hit the like button, share, or leave a comment.

Content that promises viewers they'll watch something but instead directs them off site to view.
Posting the same content repeatedly across one or more channels.
Massively uploading content that you scraped from other creators.
Trying to get viewers to install harmful software, or directing them to sites that might compromise their privacy.
Auto-generated dangerous or harmful content that computers post without regard for quality or viewer experience.
Promising money, products, software, or gaming perks at no charge if viewers install software, download an app, or perform other tasks.
Massively posting affiliate content in dedicated accounts.
Repeatedly uploading content that you don’t own and thats not (EDSA) educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic.
Misleading dangerous or harmful metadata or thumbnails:
The following types of content are not allowed on Channel 96.
This list isn't a complete list.
A thumbnail with a picture of a popular celebrity that has nothing to do with the content.
Using the title, thumbnails, or description to trick the generalized public into believing the content is something it is not.
For example, when there's a serious risk of viewing dangerous harmful content and egregious real world harm.
These are just some examples, and don't post content if you know it could violate Channel 96 policy.
Scams:
The following types of content are not allowed on Channel 96.
This list isn't a complete list.
Exaggerated promises, such as viewers can get rich or that a miracle treatment cures illnesses such as cancer or incurable disease.
Promoting cash gifting or other pyramid schemes.
Accounts dedicated to cash gifting schemes.
Videos that promise "You can earn $450,000,000.00 tomorrow if you follow my instruction taught in this plan!"
Incentivization Spam:
The following types of dangerous and harmful content are not allowed on Channel 96.
This list isn't a complete list.
Videos where the purpose is to encourage viewers to subscribe.
Swap-4 Swap videos.
Videos that offer "likes" for sale.
A video that offers to give the channel to the 100,000,000.00th subscriber without any other content.
Comments Spam:
The following types of dangerouse and harmful content are not allowed on Channel 96.

Comments about surveys or giveaways that promote pyramid schemes.
Pay Per Click referral links in comments.
Comments that falsely claim to offer full video content.
This type of content could be:
Movies.
TV shows.
Concerts.
Posting links to harmful software or phishing site in comments:
"FYI just got Mucho dinero from here! - [phishing site].com"
Comments with links to counterfeit stores.
"Wow, check out my channel/video here!” when the channel/video has nothing to do with the video it was posted in.
Posting the same comment repeatedly with a link to your channel.
Live Stream Abuse:
The following types of dangerouse and harmful content are not allowed on Channel 96.

Using your phone to stream a television show.
Using 3rd party software to livestream songs from an album.
What happens if content violates this policy.
If your content violates this policy, we may terminate your channel or account.

Channel 96 also enforces trademark holder rights.
When a channel, or content in the channel, causes confusion about the source of goods and services advertised, it may not be allowed.
If you see content that violates this policy, please report it.
If you feel that yours or another Content Owners channel is being impersonated, you can report the channel by following the instructions here.
What these policies mean for you.
If you're posting content.
Don’t post content on Channel 96 if it fits any of the descriptions found below.
Channel impersonation:
A channel that copies another channel's profile, background, or overall look and feel in such a way that makes it look like someone else's channel.
The channel does not have to be 100% identical, as long as the intent is clear to copy the other channel.
Personal impersonation:
Content intended to look like someone else is posting it.
Examples:
Find here examples of content that’s not allowed on Channel 96.
Channels with the same name and image as another channel, with the only difference being a space inserted into the name or a zero replacing the letter O.
Using someone else's real name, user name, image, brand, logo, or other personal information to trick people into believing you are that person.
Exactly matching a channel description to another channel.
Setting up a channel using the name and image of a person, and then pretending that person is posting content to the channel.
Setting up a channel using the name and image of a person, and then posting comments on other channels as if they were posted by the person.
Channels claiming to be a fan account, but actually posing as another’s channel and reuploading their content.
Channels impersonating an existing news channel.
Remember these are a few examples, and do not post content if you think it might violate Channel 96 policy.

If your content violates this policy, Channel 96 can remove the content and send you an email to let you know.

Links to sites containing Child Sexual Abuse Imagery (CSAI).
Links to sites selling items noted in our regulated goods guidelines.
Links to content that would violate our hate or harassment policies if uploaded to Channel 96.
Links to content encouraging others to commit violent acts.
Links to content that spread medical misinformation contradicting local health authorities’ (LHA) or the World Health Organization’s (WHO) medical information about COVID-19.
Links to websites or apps that spread misleading or deceptive content that can cause serious risk of egregious harm, such as interfering with democratic processes.
This policy applies to video, audio, video descriptions, comments, pinned comments, live streams, and any other Channel 96 product or feature.
Links can take any form that would direct a user to a site off Channel 96, including:
Clickable urls, showing text of urls in videos or images, obfuscated urls (e.g., writing dot com instead of .com ),-
- verbally directing users to other sites via video or audio, or encouraging viewers to visit Content Owners profiles or pages on other sites.

A video featuring sexually themed content whose description says “click here to see what Channel 96 won’t allow!”-
- and contains a link to a pornographic site.
A gameplay video whose description contains a link to a website promising in-game currency or online store credit-
- but really links to a site that infects the user’s computer with malware.
Posting a link to a phishing site that steals users banking logins and passwords.
Instructing viewers to copy and paste an unclickable link in the video that takes them to a pornographic or spammy site.
Any link leading users to a website, file hosting service, etc. that allows them to access or download child sexual abuse imagery.
Verbally directing viewers to a website to find a profile or page on another platform so they can watch content that violates Channel 96 Community Guidelines.
Embedding a url in a video of a site that would mislead voters about the time, place, means, or eligibility requirements for voting.
A link to an article claiming that COVID-19 vaccines are part of a depopulation agenda.
These are a few examples, and do not post content if you know it could violate this policy.

If you hire someone to promote your channel, their decisions may impact your channel.
Any method that violates our policies may result in content removal or a channel takedown, whether it's an action taken by you or someone you've hired.
We consider engagement to be legitimate when a human user’s primary intent is to authentically interact with the content.
Channel 96 considers engagement illegitimate, for example:
When it results from coercion or deception, or when the sole purpose of the engagement is financial gain.

Content linking to or promoting third-party view count or subscriber gaming websites or services.
Offering to subscribe to another Content Owners channel only if they subscribe to your channel (Swap-4 Swap).
You're allowed to encourage viewers to subscribe, hit the like button, share, or leave a comment.
Content featuring a Content Owner purchasing their views from a third party with the intent of promoting the service.
This policy applies to videos, video descriptions, comments, live streams, and any other Channel 96 products.

Here are some examples of content that’s not allowed on Channel 96.
A video testimonial in which a Content Owner shows themselves successfully purchasing artificial page traffic from a third party
A video in which a Content Owner links to a third party artificial page traffic provider in a promotional or supportive context.
For instance:
You can get 50 million subscribers on this video in a day!!!
A video that tries to force or trick viewers into watching another video through deceptive means (for example: a misleadingly labeled info card)
Channels dedicated to artificial channel engagement traffic or promoting businesses that exist for this sole purpose.
These are a few examples, and do not post content if you know it could violate Channel 96 policy.
What happens if content violates this policy.
If your content violates this policy, we’ll remove the content and send you an email to let you know.
If this is your first time violating Channel 96 Community Guidelines, you’ll likely get a warning with no penalty to your channel.
If it is not, we may issue a penalty against your channel.
If you get three penalties in 90 days, your channel will be terminated.

Additional policies.
Inactive accounts policy.
In general, users are expected to be active members within the Channel 96 community.
If an account is found to be inactive, the account may be reclaimed by Channel 96 without notice.
Inactivity:
Not logging into the site for at least six months.
Never having uploaded video content.
Not actively partaking in watching or commenting on videos or channels.
Encouraging Terms of Service violations.
If you post content that encourages other users to violate Channel 96 Terms of Service, the content may be removed,-
- your account may be penalized, and in some cases your account may be terminated.
Posting previously removed content, or content from terminated or restricted creators.
If you post content previously removed for violating Channel 96 Terms of Service, content produced by Content Owners with a current restriction,-
- or content from Content Owners who have been terminated under our Terms, the content may be removed, your account may be penalized,-
- and in some cases your account may be terminated.

Playlists:
Playlists are a great way to combine videos that your community may want to watch as a series.
We know it’s not often intentional, but there may be times when playlists contain content that’s not allowed-
- on the platform and can cause harm to Channel 96 Community.
This means that playlists that violate Channel 96 Community Guidelines are not allowed on Channel 96.
Thinking:
if you were to combine all the playlists’ videos into one single video, and that video were to violate Channel 96 Community Guidelines,-
- then the playlist may violate Channel 96 Community Guidelines as well.

If you find many videos, comments, or a Content Owners entire channel that you wish to report, send Channel 96 an email about it with the heading dangerous and harmful content.
What this policy means for everyone.
If you're creating playlists.
Don’t post playlists on Channel 96 if they fit any of the descriptions noted below.
Playlists with thumbnails, titles or descriptions that violate Channel 96 community guidelines, such as those that are pornographic,-
- or that consist of images that are intended to shock or disgust.
Playlists with titles or descriptions that mislead viewers into thinking they’re about to view videos different than what the playlist contains.
Playlists with videos that don’t individually violate our policies, but are collected in a way that violates the guidelines.
This includes but is not limited to:
Educational content featuring nudity or sexual themes for the purpose of sexual gratification.
Non-sexual content but focus on specific body parts or activities for sexual gratification.
Documentary videos of graphic violence for the purpose of glorifying or shocking.
Playlists that include multiple videos that have been removed for violating our guidelines.
If you notice that multiple videos in your public playlists have been removed or deleted,-
- please take some time to remove those videos from your playlists as well.
If you notice that some videos in your public playlists violate Channel 96 Community Guidelines, please flag them and remove them from your playlist.
Playlists that depict physical, sexual, or emotional mistreatment of minors.

Do not post content on Channel 96 if it depicts any of the descriptions found below.
Extremely dangerous challenges:
Challenges that pose an imminent risk of physical injury.
Dangerous or threatening jokes:
Jokes that lead victims to fear imminent serious physical danger, or that create serious emotional distress in minors.
Instructions to kill or harm:
Showing viewers how to perform activities meant to kill or maim others.
For example, giving instructions to build a bomb meant to injure or kill others.
Hard drug use or creation:
Content that depicts abuse of or giving instructions on how to create hard drugs such as cocaine or opioids.
Hard drugs are defined as drugs that can (mostly) lead to physical addiction.
Eating Disorders:
Content that praises, glorifies, or encourages viewers to imitate anorexia or other eating disorders.
Eating disorders are characterized by abnormal or disturbed eating habits which negatively affect a person's health (including eating non-food items).
Instructional theft or cheating: Showing viewers how to steal tangible goods or promoting dishonest behavior.
Hacking:
Demonstrating how to use computers or information technology with the intent to steal credentials,-
- compromise personal data or cause serious harm to others such as (but not limited to) hacking into social media accounts.
Bypassing payment for digital content or services:
Showing viewers how to use apps, websites, or other information technology to gain unauthorized access to audio content,-
- audiovisual content, full video games, software, or streaming services that normally require payment.

Don’t post content showing a minor participating in dangerous activity, or encouraging minors to participate in dangerous activities.

We might allow videos that depict dangerous acts if they’re meant to be educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic (EDSA).
For example, a news piece on the dangers of choking games would be appropriate, but posting clips out of context from the same documentary might not be.

Asphyxiation:
Any activity that prevents breathing or can lead to suffocation like:
Choking, drowning, or hanging games.
Eating non-food items.
Misuse of weapons:
Using weapons, like guns or knives, without proper safety precautions or in a way that could cause physical harm.
Includes the "Dangerous and harmful" challenge.
Ingesting Harmful Substances:
Eating, consuming, or inserting non-food objects or chemicals that may cause illness or poisoning.
Includes detergent-eating challenges.
Burning, Freezing & Electrocution:
Activities with inherent risk of severe burns, freezing, frostbite, or electrocution.
Includes the fire challenge and hot water challenge.
Mutilation & Blunt Force Trauma:
Activities like:
Self-mutilation.
Abstaining from normal health practices.
Falling, impalement, collision, blunt force trauma, or crushing.
Challenges featuring children:
Showing minors drinking alcohol, using vaporizers, e-cigarettes, tobacco or marijuana, or misusing fireworks.
Channel 96 may age-restrict content that explains this type of content in an educational or documentary way.
For example, a documentary about self-mutilation may be allowed but it won't be available to all audiences.
Dangerous or threatening jokes:
The following types of content are not allowed on Channel 96.
This isn't a complete list.
Intentional physical harm:
Inflicting physical harm on unsuspecting prank victims through actions like punching attacks, drugging food or drinks with laxatives, or shock pranks.
Making someone feel in immediate danger:
Tricking others into believing they're in real danger, even if no physical harm comes to them.
This includes:
Threats with weapons.
Bomb scares.
Swatting or fake 911 calls.
Fake home invasions or robberies.
Fake kidnapping.
Emotional distress to minors:
Any prank that causes emotional distress to children or others who are vulnerable.
This includes:
Fake death or suicide.
Fake violence.
Pretending that a parent or caregiver will abandon a child.
Showing a parent or caregiver verbally abuse or shame a child.
Channel 96 may age-restrict pranks involving adults that don't violate our policies.
For example, a prank with a realistic looking injury may be allowed.
But, it won't be available to all audiences.
Violent events or instructions to do harm:
The following types of content are not allowed on Channel 96.
This isn't a complete list.
Bomb-making:
Showing viewers how to build a bomb meant to injure or kill others, such as:
Pipe bombs.
Package bombs.
Explosive vests.
Molotov cocktails. . .
Violence involving children:
Any real fights or violence between children.
Channel 96 may age-restrict this type of content if it's documentary or educational.
For example, content that gives medical, academic, historical, philosophical, or news perspective on a violent act may be allowed.
But, it won't be available to all audiences.
Drug use:
The following types of content are not allowed on Channel 96.
This is not a complete list.
Displays of hard drug uses:
Non-educational content that shows the injection of intravenous drugs like heroin or huffing/sniffing glue.
Making hard drugs:
Non-educational content that explains how to make drugs.
Minors using alcohol or drugs:
Showing minors drinking alcohol, using vaporizers, e-cigarettes, tobacco or marijuana, or misusing fireworks.
Selling hard or soft drugs:
Featuring drugs with the goal of selling them.
If you're using links in your description to sell hard drugs, your channel will be terminated.
Steroid use:
Non-educational content that shows how to use steroids for recreational purposes (like bodybuilding).
Note:
If this type of content is educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic, we may still age-restrict it.
For example, a documentary about intravenous drug use that shows the injection of drugs may be allowed,-
- but it won't be available to all audiences.
If your content shows items used for taking drugs, it may also be age-restricted.
Eating disorders:

Content where a human unnecessarily puts an animal in poor conditions outside of traditional or standard practices.
Examples of traditional or standard practices include hunting or food preparation.
Content that glorifies or promotes serious neglect, mistreatment, or harm toward animals.
Content that shows animal rescue that is staged and puts the animal in harmful scenarios.
Graphic content that features animals and intends to shock or disgust.
Dramatized or fictional content:
Dramatized or fictional footage of content prohibited by these guidelines-
- where the viewer is not given enough context to understand that the footage is dramatized or fictional.

Channel 96 do not allow the following kinds of content even if there's educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic context provided:
Violent physical sexual assaults (video, still imagery, or audio).
Footage filmed by the perpetrator during a deadly or major violent event, in which weapons, violence, or injured victims are visible or audible.

In some rare cases, we may remove content or issue other penalties when a Content Owner:
Repeatedly encourages abusive audience behavior.
Repeatedly targets, insults and abuses a group based on the attributes noted above across multiple uploads.
Exposes a group with attributes noted above to risks of physical harm based on the local social or political context.
Creates content that harms the Channel 96 community by persistently inciting hostility against-
- a group with attributes noted above here for personal financial gain.
Here are examples of hate speech not allowed on Channel 96.
"It make me happy this [violent event] happened, and it gives me great pleasure.
They got what they deserved [referring to persons with the attributes above here].”
“[Person with attributes above here] are fish-bait” or “[person with attributes above listed] are like worms I want to feed them to the dogs.”

If the primary purpose is educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic in nature, we may allow content that includes harassment.

Debates related to high-profile officials or leaders:
Content featuring debates or discussions of topical issues concerning individuals who have positions of power,-
- like high-profile government officials or CEOs of major multinational corporations.
Scripted performances:
Insults made in the context of an artistic medium such as scripted satire, stand up comedy, or music (such as a disrespectful dangerous or harmful track).
Note:
This exception is not a pass to harass someone and claim “It is just a joke.”
Harassment education or awareness:
Content that features actual or simulated harassment for documentary purposes or with willing participants-
- (such as actors) to combat cyberbullying or raise awareness.
Note:
We take a harder line on content that maliciously insults someone based on their protected group status,-
- regardless of whether or not they are a high-profile person.
Penalties:
In some rare cases, we may remove content or issue other penalties when a Content Owner:
Repeatedly encourages abusive audience behavior.
Repeatedly targets, insults and abuses an identifiable individual based on their intrinsic attributes across several uploads.
Exposes an individual to risks of physical harm based on the local social or political context.
Creates content that harms the Channel 96 community by persistently inciting hostility between Content Owners for personal financial gain.
Here are some examples of content that is not allowed on Channel 96:
Repeatedly showing pictures of someone and then making statements like “Look at this monkey's teeth, they’re grotesque and ugly!”,-
- with similar commentary targeting intrinsic attributes throughout the video.
Targeting an individual based on their membership in a protected group, such as by saying:
“Look at this filthy [slur targeting a protected group], I wish they’d die and go to hell.”
Targeting an individual and making claims they are involved in human trafficking in the context of a harmful conspiracy theory-
- where the conspiracy is linked to direct threats or violent acts.
Using an extreme insult to dehumanize an individual based on their intrinsic attributes.
For instance:
“Look at this discusting ugly woman! She’s not even a human being — she must be some sort of mutant or fish-bait!”
Depicting an identifiable individual being murdered, seriously injured, or engaged in a graphic sexual act without their consent.
Accounts dedicated entirely to focusing on maliciously insulting an identifiable individual.
